We approach architecture and landscape as tools for renewing attention, grounding our work in careful observation and open-ended experimentation
Founded by Matthew Moffitt, Studio Bardo serves clients across the United States. Moffitt received his Master of Architecture at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Recently an adjunct professor at Northeastern, he has also served as a guest critic at the University of Pennsylvania, Harvard Graduate School of Design, Cornell, the BAC, Smith College, Wentworth, and Penn State.
Moffitt’s professional experience includes his role as a Project Manager at Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates and as an Associate at Maryann Thompson Architects, where he managed projects ranging from intimate garden designs and ground-up residences to large-scale campus centers.

Studio Bardo is a full-service architecture and landscape design firm. Our services span early feasibility and site analysis through concept design, permitting, construction documentation, bidding, and construction administration. We work across America with active projects in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Indiana and Michigan.
The studio focuses on bespoke ground-up single-family homes, adaptive reuse projects, accessory dwelling units, gardens, landscapes, and site master plans. Each project is developed through close collaboration with clients, consultants, craftspeople, and builders, with an emphasis on productive restraint.
